The Client:
Sony Ericsson, a 50:50 joint venture of Sony Corporation and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, was established in October 2001. Sony Ericsson is the Leading telecommunications solutions combined with proven entertainment technologies place Sony Ericsson products at the forefront of innovation coming up with innovative and engaging mobile handsets to target different sections of the growing Indian cell phone market.
The Requirement:
Sony Ericsson is one of the leading players in Indian cell phone market and wanted to capture the high-end business devices arena with its new P1i phone. Sony also wanted to project the Sony Ericsson P1i as a complete package for fun as well as usability for the elite class who use cell phones as their business accessories. The high-end features of this handset needed to be promoted along with its entertainment features like the 3.2 MP camera, Music/Media Player and FM Radio.
Solution:
Zed-Axis proposed a completely interactive microsite for Sony Ericsson P1i to highlight its prime features and hit the target audience with the USP of the product that is a complete package for business and personal requirements. We had a thorough understanding of the client's requirements by having one to one discussions about the brand development and positioning of the Sony Ericsson P1i phone as a high end mobile device.
We conceptualized and visualized an engaging intro for the microsite to create an engaging user experience. The flash intro was an animated sequence of major features of the phone that included official as well as leisure activities by a central character.
Intro leads the visitors to an equally interactive website promoting Sony Ericsson P1i as an elite brand for classy people. Interface or navigation of the website was devised in a manner to engage the visitors and invite them to explore the features in an interesting way.
